Korean Language + K-WAVE Convergence Course

It is a special program designed for foreigners to learn Korean Language. It is unique and different from all the other Korean Language programs offered by different institutions.

Teaching Faculty & Educational Goals

We have a team of language professors who possess a master's degree or above in Korean language education, have rich lecture experience, and are able to speak foreign languages, as well as a team of instructors with rich K-WAVE related experience to conduct efficient and systematic training for students.
The course focuses on speaking, listening, reading, and writing in order to develop language skills in all areas, and provides basic specialized education in Korean language and Korean Wave through K-WAVE related classes.

Class Placement & Course Completion Criteria

Korean Language + K-WAVE Convergence Course Class Placement & Course Completion Criteria
Class Placement	Students are placed into appropriate classes based on their Korean language ability which is evaluated through a placement test, their nationality, and their gender. There are about 15 students in each class.
Level	Over 80% (criteria for course completion and visa extension)
Completion Criteria	- Must achieve a 60 point or higher average score and an 80% or higher attendance rate - Must take a reexamination if the scores for any two of the following areas, i.e. speaking, listening, writing, and reading, are below 60

Payment of tuition fees	※ Once you have submitted your admission documents, you will be required to deposit your tuition and other fees into your virtual account issued by the institution. ※ The amount and method of payment will be given upon the applicants successful admittance. ※ You must make a deposit under your name within the period of time given. The registration fee must be converted and exchanged into KRW (Korean Currency). ※ We can not be held liable for the refund of the deposit fee if the visa is denied. Applicants will be liable for the fees upon denial of visa.

Other Information

International Student Insurance

We recommend you apply for international student insurance in your home country before entering Korea. Students who have not applied for international student insurance in their home country must apply for it after entering Korea.

- Annual insurance premium is approximately KRW 200,000 (depending on the type of insurance product)
- You may be entitled to healthcare benefits according to the terms and conditions of the insurance company during the policy period.
- Does not apply to chronic conditions or severe illness, etc.

Scholarship

Scholarship Information

Academic Scholarship	- Selection among students with a grade A (90 points) or higher for all subjects and a 90% or higher attendance rate (300,000 won / semester)
Other Scholarships	- Scholarship for excellence in learning: selection among students who have shown outstanding performance in supplementary learning activities and project work (a few beneficiaries each semester) - Merit Scholarship: selection among students who have contributed to the development of K-WAVE Korean Language Education Center, and students who have won awards at external competitions or events (a few beneficiaries each semester) ※ Scholarship payments may vary according to the number of student beneficiaries and the school's state of affairs.

Cultural Experiential Program

A Korean culture experience program will be held once or twice every semester (various cultural experiential learning activities such as visits to the Korean Folk Village, Gyeongbokgung Palace, amusement park, as well as K-wave related performances and events)
